The Journal of Automata, Languages and Combinatorics is a forum for research in all areas of the field, from theory to applications and relations to other subjects. It is the successor of the Journal of Information Processing and Cybernetics / Elektronische Informationsverarbeitung und Kybernetik.
For the last 20 years, from 1996 until 2015, it has been edited under the present name at Fakultät für Informatik, Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Dassow. Information about those issues can be found following this link.
Since the year 2016, the journal will be published by Institut für Informatik, Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen by Prof. Dr. Markus Holzer and Prof. Dr. Martin Kutrib. The first issues have appeared recently.
